View Seats

The free View seat, the Viewer ceiling, and what a View user can still do.

8090 Software Factory has two seat types. A seat is purchased capacity. It sets which organization roles a membership can hold, but it does not by itself grant any permission.

Seat types

SeatPriceOrganization rolesIncludes
Full$200 per seat / monthMember or AdminA monthly agent usage allowance.
ViewFreeView onlyNo agent usage allowance.

The Includes column is the seat's usage allowance, not a set of permissions. What a person can actually do inside a project comes from their project role, which for anyone on a View seat is capped at Viewer.

What a View user can do

A View seat is more than read-only. On a free View seat a person can:

  • Comment in Requirements, Blueprints, Work Orders, Knowledge Base, and Feedback.
  • Search and read indexed code.

So a stakeholder on a free seat can follow the work and leave feedback everywhere it matters, at no cost.

The Viewer ceiling

A View-seat person is capped at the Viewer project role on every project. Assigning a higher project role, or a richer custom role, does not lift the cap. To give someone more than Viewer, move them to a Full seat and the Member or Admin organization role.

Pending invites hold a seat

Both active and pending memberships count toward seat use, so an outstanding invitation holds its seat until it is accepted or revoked.

Enterprise organizations

Enterprise organizations are billed outside of per-seat pricing and have no seat-capacity limit. Usage is covered by a separate agreement, so talk to your account team for the details.

For seats and usage, see Usage & Billing; for per-token rates, see Model Pricing.
